Crawford County, Robinson, Illinois | Great memories when you leave cement reminders. We did that on the farm as well, the South Barn, built by my Wife's Grandfather, has 1902 scratched in the cement feeding floor.
However, in the house we have now, the previous owner scratched a heart in the cement courtyard, and inside the two first names of the couple with the year 1992. Makes me sad looking at that, so in love then, and 7 years later their marriage ended in divorce, allowing us to buy the place.
Be careful what you scratch in cement, sometimes it is more permanent than humans can endure. |
