Thanks for links & help. I've found some YouTubes that give instructions on how-to download/install i-tunes. I didn't realize i-tunes had to be on a pc to start with. Looks like without i-tunes & a MS computer, the ipad is kind of nothing, especially if you want to view home-made movies.

Going thru YouTube may not always be the best route for movie viewing. I believe they degrade movies vs a hard-drive copy.

Thanks again. I'll get this ipad thing figured out, but I'm proclaiming that this apple i-pad thing isn't all the simplicity it's being touted as. It seems OK if you just want whatever they offer when you buy the thing, but if you want your music or your photos or your mp4s (sounds like critical formatting), you might just be out of luck, or maybe just I'm out of luck.
