We pull a 17 shank landoll with 500 horse as well. Having said that if a 4955 will pull it then a 290 will run with it. Put the chisel in the ground and going 5 mph shut off the mfd. if you are slipping 30-40% you will stop instantly. We can hook a 335 to the 17 shank and you will not get that much slip unless it is wet out. Put the mfd in manual. Like stated before, the auto mode can be a pita! Keep us informed.
