He's off for an adventure.  The movie inspired him to make the hike.  He's a rock climber, soccer player, Brazilan Jujitsu player that also is a software engineer.  He's worked and gone to school for 14 years and wanted a break.  

I'm not thrilled that he will be going but that's life.  

Just want to see what the trail/path is like.
