Farmington IL
I thought that too not all that long ago but now, I dont think so. The adjuster was here and did a silage appraisal where we are going to chop. Its a square flat 80 with Ipava soil 5 feet deep and he says it is going to make 65 bu and is the best corn on corn he has been in so far. A month ago I guessed this field at 140. We did pick this to chop because it is what we now think is our worst. BUT this tells me there is some really bad corn in this area. If you would have asked me 6 months ago, I would have told you there was no way this farm would ever yield under 120. We have alot of farms like this with APH's way north of 200 and I'm thinking now we may not make 140. We will know soon.
