Subject: made my own spray boom for JD4700

northeastern Ohio

A few weeks ago I asked if there were any aftermarket spray boom parts available for the JD 4700.  I didn't receive any replies.  I just needed the outermost section on the breakaway.  I priced one from Deere dealer and they quoted me $1260 per side ($2520).  I decided to go to my local steel supplier and buy the materials.  I bought enough tubing to do both sides.  Total cost was $96.00

Here are a few pictures of the original boom and then a few of my "new" boom.  I reused the hinge off of the old booms to save a few bucks.
