Subject: Guys more questions

We are setting up acouple tractors at the moment for motor returns..............4450 powershift and 4230 quad.............Service manager at our Dealer is old school and has been around the block quite a few times and knows his stuff.............He told us to dump into the trans case. One of the head techs tolds us the same and they see no ill harm. I read on here about all these issues if you do.............Other than heating the oil in the rear somewhat, why is it wrong to dump into the case? Years ago everyone around here with potato harvester dumped into the case and I never heard anyone having issues.

We tried to buy those covers for the filters with the port in them, but dealer claims they are NLA..............We don't want to drill and tap because they will stick out and rub tomato vines in late summer which could cause a problem.
