Faunsdale, AL | First make sure the weep line back along the frame to the transmission is open, not crimped etc. If that is OK, then you probably need to replace the internal seal that holds back most of the oil so it doesn't overwhelm the outer seal and the weep line ability to channel the normal leakage to the transmission.
I wouldn't hesitate to replace the seal myself if I had a pump that was otherwise performing well. You will have everything apart but the stroke control housing before you can replace the internal seal though. At least that's the way I remember it. Been a long time since I had one that just needed the seal and had time to do it myself. | |
