northwest tennessee | I think lack of profit and the amount of work it takes has held it back. Also folks around here are kind of showy and raising livestock is not showy and requires a person staying around all year long. They like to take trips and go out of town every weekend and play big dog. Even though cattle are higher in price inputs are just as high or higher so there is still noone making the money that the row croppers are. Going up and down the road in old muddy trucks and wading mud is not as glamorous as running new shiny equipment. Most people are about the show now and that is why alot of them are in financial trouble. End of sermon. I will accept donations. | |
