East Central Illinois | Back when my brother and I were building cars with dad we did everything possible. Polishing and de-burring the axles, polishing the tires, weight in different places, lots of graphite, and several different shapes of the cars. The fastest one I ever ran was built to look like Ron Hornaday's Napa sponsored nascar craftsman truck. That truck took first place that year. We learned then that it didn't matter what the body shape was. Every year there were cars built to race and then other peoples cars that were built to win best of show and they didn't care how they raced.
