East Central Ia
Lots of reasons really... We are moving to 20'' rows and really haven't liked the case toolbars for a long time. The 1260 planter is WAY to heavy and takes WAY more hydrualics then the Deere (supposedly! lol). We haven't been that impressed with the seed spacing from our 1200, but come to find out that you should replace the seed discs every couple years... well before they reach the wear grooves. A Case planter guy told us this after we ran ours for 7 seasons and still where no where near the wear grooves. Apparently they can start to "wrinkle" as they wear in the seed holes and drastically effect the seed release.

We could not get the attachments we wanted for a case ih planter... the list goes on. Not sure if its the right move but we will find out soon!
