Wallis, TX
Depends on what you want to see. East of Houston pretty much all rice and cattle. Take 59 south and you will run mostly row crop and pasture, a little rice land thrown in. 59 north & I-45 N pretty much all pine trees. I-10 west will see some rice right out of Houston, then mostly pasture until almost San Antonio. 90-A will take you past some row crop, rice and them ranch land out to Gonzales. You can run the coast south and you will see row crop and rice. 290 NW will start out with some farm land but turn into pasture.

My suggestion would be run 35S to 71N or 59 south to El Campo, (catch lunch at Hinze's Bar be Que in Wharton on the highway) then go 71N to Altair. Right on 90-A to Eagle Lake, East Bernard and on to Rosenberg which is on 59. Or go on 71 all the way to Columbus and take I-10 back to Houston. I'm guessing this is about a three hour trip.
