Nwmo | The biggest problems with non gmo beans are no one is currently breeding new varieties, and from a crop protection standpoint its pretty cheap insurance in case the custom app doesn't get his machine cleaned out and Glypho is still pretty cheap grass killer. Non gmo looks good on paper but every time I've seen someone try it lately it doesn't yield any benefit.
As for the original question it looks to me like if you get the marestail burned down and actually killed you won't have any problems with it the rest of the season. Water hemp around here generally comes on to late for any residual to have any effect even if it wasn't resistant. Cobra, ultra blazer, and flexstar seem to take down waterhemp for now. However with the first 2 you have to be careful because you can knock blooms off and set bean growth back a few days. Flexstar and its generics don't seem to be nearly as hard on the beans even at max rate with crop oil thrown in.
