Dallas Center IA 515-720-2463 | I have a Versatile auger. 8" about 67-70 footer.
It does not have a gearbox. Chain and sprockets at the lower end. Then a shaft coming up one side a few feet. Then 2 U-joints. Then the telescoping shaft to the tractor.
Tractor sit with the front end to the bin, back end to the unloading wagon or truck.
I kinda liked the drive idea, except the chain ran dry. Felt it should have been in a oil filled case.
Also I liked that the under carrage was built out of very nice looking about 3" square tubing, not cheap looking round tubing.
The wind turned it over about 10 years ago. Always wanted to get that square tubing.
Also I remember a Versitile combine toy in at my uncles implement store. It seems like you could lift the top off and see the rotor. Also I remember the turrert unloader. |
