| I always liked the looks of those drills, but a grower who bought a 6 drill set told me that the seed cups were too low relative the rear opener shanks and sometimes (especially treated) wheat would not flow down the tube and it would plug, usually when going down hill. Their transport system was very good albeit heavy, but on the high plains usually weight is a good think when planting dryland HRW. You are right, there were lots of DK5's used and liked, they had stength and clearance for residue before notill was popular. | |
