When I got my cruizer, Raven said that I should have the helix antenna with the smartsteer. Ran the cruizer for one year by itself then added the smartsteer for last two years. You probably could try the patch antenna, but the helix will give you a signal with fewer drops and is supposed to be slightly more accurate than the patch. Loren
