South Australia | Two of my prescription files are 1200 acres on my X-15 with three layers of vrc rates (seed, urea and 18-20 fert). I think the only limitation on the number of rates is the number of colours in microsoft paint. One thing i picked up on was when i drove around the paddock and marked out my zones with the ute (with the swath width set to 5m) then loaded it into paint the black lines became "larger" then in the log file. This was because it seemed to have the same amount of pixels for a big paddock as a small paddock (ie you seemed to loose "resolution" with the larger paddock). Its hard to explain. Are you using the topcon software to create your maps? I'm thinking if you used farmworks or sms this wouldn't happen as you wouldn't be using paint.
ps the topcon vrc software ignores black lines (although counts them when calculating the amount of product required so i set a rate to them anyway) | |
