Bainville, MT | Variable Rate layers. VRC Tab. In US we call them Variable Rate prescriptions, don't ask me why. Doesn't make sense why they are called prescriptions either. In Zynx they are called VRC Jobs. Like Job Assistant -> Load VRC JOb.
In the part of Montana I live in, some of the fields are very large. Like 1200 to 2000 acres and with other controllers I have to be careful how "big" in shapefile polygon count I make the prescriptions. For example a Case IH Pro 600 is limited to 1000 polygons. on a 1000 acre field, it just isn't enough. The Zynx uses a .xml spreadsheet. I was just wondering what my limitations are as far as size in landmass.
I also have control over how many different rates I make the "prescriptions" Say 5 different rates e.i. 75, 80, 85, 90, 95 lbs. Or I could do 10 different rates 75,78,81,84,87,90,93,96,99, 102. The actual number isn't that important. It is the number of different rates that is important to me.
Are there any other limitations that you have to be careful for?
