West Texas
I'm on 36" rows too. We tried a paratill a few years ago, couldn't keep the sprayer on the row to save my life. Are you running the strip till in front of the planter or a couple of weeks prior? We mostly raise wheat for cover so we put out our fertilizer with coulters. But starting to have compaction issues along with nematodes. Its difficult to get a cover going if you moldboard, if you have a dry winter/spring. That's what has us looking at strip till. We've been looking at orthman, but are undecided? How many rows is your rig? Do you have trouble with your seed sinking in the trench? How do you irrigate? We are all pivots. How deep do you rip?
