Central AR | Some what late to respond to these posts, but I would stay away from the HP 8500. Mine went out right after warranty. I thought it was the best printer I had ever owned until this happened. It's a paper jam message when there is no paper jam. I read the forums on the HP site and I see that this is a very common problem and is usually caused by a broken plastic gear. HP says there are no parts and offer to replace warranted printers with another 8500 for a fee. Some I see have elected to take the replacement only to have the second printer do the exact same thing. I have a Cannon backup printer, just a cheap Walmart unit, so I'm shopping and it won't be a HP. | |
