in this area,corn following a sod will always produce a decent crop. Good soil tilth. Your readings will average out after the first crop. I wouldn't worry about the nitrogen. Once it's up check out the stand,watch for bugs, add some nitrogen if you think it's needed. Will yield better than average the rest is up to mother nature.
