| If the stand is thin and it has a lot of weeds then my guess is that you can figure between 80-100 units of N. It's anybody's guess as to whats really there and it all depends on how much work you want to do to find out later. The easy way would be plant corn and put 60 units down preplant and it should grow a good crop of corn. The alternative is to do some tissue analysis during the growing season and sidedress any extra you may need. Either way there is probably $40-50 worth of residual N in the field so you have to decide if that $ figure is worth the custom costs.
