| Also I have noticed out here, waaaay out here (Great American Desert in the Northern Great Plains) that in my high PH, high CCE soils a white hard pan layer exists.....I am pretty sure it is (CALICHE) or a layer of Calcium Carbonate...........that is why when I put on NH3 I do it at an angle with knives and try to "rip" through that layer, it is typically 3-4 inches deep and very predominate on hilltops..........
YOU ARE NOT IN KANSAS ANYMORE out here TOTO, it never rains, then when it does it wont quit,,,,,,,,,,you try to stick a black tube in your soil to GET RID of water here, next stop would be Warm Springs......(State Mental Ward).....DIFFERENT COUNRTY than most of you guys are used to agronomically speaking........... | |
