Adding more H to a high PH soil is just a good thing to do.......Also, rather than spending money on Avail, buy fert grade AMS and mix it with your 11-52-0....what ratio depends on how brave you are, we do 10-15% AMS rest 11-52-0, banded with the seed, again just adding an H from the Ammonia to the 11-52-0......P tieup is a field proven fact in high PH calcareous soils, .....and goal is NOT to lower soil PH, goal is to keep applied P from getting tied up in the soil.

You can get a CCE or %free lime test done on you soil, Hay Wilson is the expert here, have learned LOTS from him that has benefited me greatly!!

Where I am in Northern Montana, high PH Calcareous soils with %FREE LIME or CCE (not CEC!!!!!!!!!!!!) anywhere fro 0 to 10% really ties up your P!!
Have gone to zoning my fields by topography, the knobs are almost always high in PH and CCE (not CEC!!!!!!) low in OM while the oposite is true of the bottoms....I now VRT my 11-52-0/AMS blend according to the zones I have made from topography data purchased online, VRT the NH3 as well at an inverse to the 11-52-0/AMS blend in an earlier operation at an angle to seeding....

Remember, not trying to add enough stuff to lower PH, dont think it is possible.........just trying to maybe lower it in the crops rhizosphere.....
