South Texas | We harvest milo in June down here, and put on a quart of roundup at about 25% moisture. Makes it so much easier to combine for us. However, let's say you've got side by side fields, one sprayed and the other one not when it comes a 3 inch rain. You'll be able to harvest the unsprayed field at least 3-4 days sooner than the one you killed. Pretty evident just how much moisture a living milo plant is still using, even with hard grain on it. | |
