Corn with certain traits are not approved in different places. Japan has approved most GMO events, therefore this corn can be shipped to Japan. All GMO events are approved for food and feed in the USA. I count 5 GMO events that are not approved for EU for food or feed. The particular GMO I have is one of them. There are 21 GMO events approved in Europe.

The National Corn Growers is working at educating producers on this. ADM in Clinton exports some of its corn products to Europe and therefore these varieties of corn should not go there. Unfortunatly most of the local elevators deliver to ADM thus the lack of places to go.

Many people either do not understand or do not care and take their corn to ADM anyway.
