Do you really have that much trouble with resistant weeds down there? Do you not have several herbicide groups to choose from to avoid it? Or is it something else? I am just wondering. We have a more diverse rotation on the nothern prairies, I suppose, and maybe therefore more herbicide choices. I'm just seeing alot of resistant weeds posts on here.

Enlighten me, eh? LOL

Yes !!! They have been resistant to a lot of other chemicals for years. Just became resistant to RU in the last 4 years. Rotations are limited to cotton, corn, wheat & soybeans. You can pretty well get em in corn but one year of corn won't clean em up. One mature pigweed will yeild about 600,000 seeds & they are tiny, birds love the seed & will spread it from field to field as well as in combines & on equipment.

LL beans & cotton are an option but we have limited variety choices because very few companies have the technology & it looks like it will be in short supply next year because the problem is so wide spread in the south & mid south. Also the LL cotton varietys will not yeild as well as regular varietys.
