| 1952,1973,1994 do we see a pattern here. In 70 to 73 time frame USDA said there was a Shortage of Beef coming, folks really geared up to produce. When the market started to fall apart about this time in 1973,after the price freeze, them good folks at the USDA suddenly found million's of cattle that mysteriously came out of thin air. I was 21 and owned a lot of cattle when she blew. That's when I learned that the government lies about such things. The shortage was brought about by people holding back heifers to breed. We are at year 16 of a 21 year cycle time to get back in . Be ready to dump em all around 2015. Come to think of it cattle may have blown out in 1931 too. | |
