Here in ECN we've had anywhere from 10 -14 inches of rain since June 1. Bottoms are either gone or so saturated nothing will improve. Hillsides are running spring water like I have never seen before. Most corn in bottoms that are not drownded out are very yellow and firing. Even the hills are starting to show some yellowing from leaching of fert. or just lack of oxygen. Forecast for tonite is 60-80% chance of heavy rain. And 30-40% for the next several days.
From what I hear it is like this over quite an area. Chicago will react but it always take a month. Right now, I'd say "rain doesn"t make grain" !
