Subject: RE: 930 platform on a 9550

east central ND
I run a 630 on an 1991 9500 without contour master and single tires. the next combine I would like duals or CM for a bit more stability, but I am mostly happy with combinaltion as we have mostly flat ground. a 600 series will flex more, and follow the ground like a 5 foot smaller 900 series. so if you like how a 925 would follow the ground, you should be happy with a 630. floats over the mud alot better too. A very good crop of beans is 35 to 40 bu. around here so if I have a really good field or tough beans I drive about 2.5 to 2.8 mph. poorer stands I am up to as much as 3.5, I do run a slow down pully on the sickle dirve. A 600 will feed that much better than a 900 with a full finger auger, the cutter bar is what, 6" closer to the auger? Around here a nice 925 full finger is 10k to 14k. An older 630 will be 20k and up. and then a conversion kit for your combine. Non full finger 900 flex heads have really fallen in price last few years. Just from price, I think a 925 full finger auger would be an good up grade for you, still hold its value, and maybe in a few years trade agian up to a 625 or 630.
