I'm not sure when the IH 400 Cyclo came out, but John Deere had a model 1300 back in the mid 60's, that used a central fill hopper with tubes that fed each row unit. It used the same finger pick up as the 1250 which was a more common planter. Depth was still controlled with a press wheel like on the old 494's.
Was the case cyclo planter the first bulk fill?
