ec IL | I've used a debit card regularly, for over 5 years, and it was compromised once and the bank took care of it immediately. It was taken care just as if it was a credit card.
When I started using a debit card, I kept like a couple hundred in the account but now I don't worry too much about the amount in the account. I also transfer in and out of a savings account, to keep the account lower. HTH
