| You can’t go by the neighbor. Did he plant slower? Does he have tile? Is the tillage different? Does he have firmer? Do you have firmers? Is there a difference in the sidewall compaction? What closing wheels does he have compared to you? You are blaming one thing but many issues happen after the seed is in the tube. Red planters(we have one) use a RID gauge wheels and find in some condition the seed can be placed under the soil that raised soil or disc and change emergence. Is your planter running level? All of these things your monitor can’t tell you if it correct. Are your firming point in good shape? Did the shoe hold all the dry dirt out of trench? You seed bed could be rough but looks fine to the eye. Are planting acrossed where the fall tillage shank ran? | |
