Jdel - 6/7/2026 06:38 Last time I updated I thought dealer support/parts was the most important factor. After a few years of fighting net wrap problems on my 567 Deere I’m rethinking that decision. No brand loyalty here. What’s ag talk like for new or newer balers these days? About JD net wrap problems: I have a 2013 569 and had netwrap problems for several years before I finally discovered the problem. If you look at the tray that supports the netwrap against the belts I finally found that poor quality welds had broken loose where the supporting channels are welded to cross frames on exactly half, one side, of the wrap support weldment and were snagging the wrap! I took the weldment out, took it to my local dealer who rewelded the half of the supports that had broken welds, ground them down and no problems with netwrap since! From past experience, I know this weldment was welded by two people on a fixture, each doing half. The welder on one side knew what he was doing and had his welder set right. The guy on the other side didn't know or didn't care and was just trying to beat the time standard for the job, resulting in several years of netwrap problems. These are tricky welds but should be done right. I'd suggest you check your weldment where the support channels weld to the cross members especially on the ends. |
