indiana | In our case we’ve planted about every row spacing over the years. We went from a basic JD 1790 15” soybean planter to a JD 1790 20” soybean planter with pretty much all Precision updates. The previous owner was planting corn with it. We do everything from conventional till to no-till. Love everything about this planter but especially love the DeltaForce and Clean Sweep. I’m our no till the Clean Sweep really shines, positive we have improved stands. Planter is set up with 24” tram lines for the sprayer. We stay off the rows for the most part. If a field is tall and bushy at fungicide time we spray at an angle.
I wouldn’t say there is an increase in 20” soybeans in our area. We just found what we wanted. And only have 24 rows to maintain vs 32. | |
