Edit what were the symptoms of the cattle?

IDK, he just told the other neighbor they would look OK and be dead 12-24 hours later. Maybe he doesn't know what to look for perhaps??? Or if he took any temperatures, we don't have any good cow vets within ~75 miles. IDK his protocol on new to his place cattle (if he even has one).

What I'm reading it sounds like shipping fever; I'm just concerned where I read bury dead animals well. We've got turkey buzzards, hawks & crows that would feed on carcasses.
