Tough deal. Lots of things…it’s an expensive time to be learning how to feed calves


This was my hope, but after the bird flu that went through a couple years ago (and again recently on the west side of state), I wasn't certain. Especially when I read that the dead stock should be buried well and never seen or heard of shipping fever locally.

Apparently, the calves were cheaper to begin with than buying from the only two 'local' sale barns (35-50 miles away).
