Ft. Ripley MN | I looked into LRP a couple years ago… $91 a head and didn’t really guarantee me a profit. At that time the profit was buying the LRP… honestly would rather take the gamble and run naked. This market will down turn but no one knows when… survived 15 fine… learned my lesson and not buying iron and more cows. Keeping back heifers… saving for when things turn ugly
Only people I’ve found making money on LRP are the ones selling it.
Cattle have no business going the way of crop insurance. It’s a slippery slope. I’m in the minority but I’ll gladly run naked vs having someone in my business | |
