I would keep the calf and cow together 24/7 and keep the calf hungry so it keeps sucking to stimulate the cow, if the calf had enough for the first 2 days I would have been very reluctant to supplement. IMO it makes it to easy for the calf to go to the bottle and not try nursing the cow enough.
