That's true but the problem is a lot of the offspring wouldn't have the defect anyway. It would be a lot easier if there was a gene marker for it and you would know with a simple DNA test.
If you needed clean up a herd that had genetic potential to prolapse stemming from a few individuals you could probably find what dna segment/s are really transferring the issue. I can run stuff like that, as I do some similar stuff with corn breeding. |
