Subject: RE: genetic ?

Had few when we started with the beef in 05 or so, now the last couple of years have had few again. When we milked Holsteins dad had one in the late 60's, he bought cows in 66 and I had one in 04 few months before I sold them, she was about 12-14 years old if I remember everything correctly. Just wondering how one can get rid of the occurrence other then sell the offenders, how far down the rabbit hole does one go? Two years ago I sold the bull that was related to the heifers even though I kind of liked him. If I can determine if my herd sire fathered this one do I sell him? been thinking of keeping him one more year, do I sell the claves out of him? Not sure that is even real feasible as many of this years calves are out of him and I prefer to sell calves for better reasons then a "maybe".
