From where I sit I feel the same way about milking cows, at least small herds, only difference from when I sold the dairy cows 22 years ago is the calf market and the cull cows. Used to be calves were a by-product now the milk looks like it is.


I know this is a pig thread........but.....

I was at a graduation party last weekend and met a really nice dairy farmer from Wisconsin. He milks around 350 cows. He has a guy that buys all his calves. He comes twice a week and is paying $1750.00 each. Thats no longer a by-product.
