| In the past I had the most problems with cows with Limousine blood, and a few Angus. I bought some Herefords over the years from an old couple that had a really nice herd, never an issue till the last batch of 3 cows which I culled all the offspring from those 3 cows, but still have 2 of the cows that so far have not had any issues. Had a black baldy heifer prolapse 2 weeks ago 3 weeks after she freshened, kind of annoys me as she was any early heifer and I liked the looks of her (and her heifer calf) both will go down the road this fall. She is out of a very nice black cow, probably mostly angus who is still in the herd. Do I keep the dam's offspring or not? Still need to look thru my records to see if I can determine the heifer's sire for my own information. | |
