Northeast Iowa | I've found that the vehicle I check them with determines their reaction. The Ranger carries fencing supplies and is used when rotating paddocks. The four-wheeler is typically used to sort individuals or move the whole group for chute work, A.I., etc. I can ride through them on the four-wheeler with barely any disturbance. Show up with the Ranger, or even slow down slightly when driving by and everyone assembles for a mass migration and acts like they're out of feed. That makes paddock rotation really easy. They aren't total lemmings, though, and won't follow the Ranger into the feedlot / handling facility.
