In this situation, I’ve put out some bale rings and plunked hay they’d turn their nose up at in winter—-they ignore it, pick at it pretty quick it’s gone——slows bypass / thru put down, lotsa energy, probably helps the rumen——and stretches the grass.
Dumped some old quite nasty stuff in a coulee and cows thought they’d found a candy store
