 northeastern Ohio | If you have a digital fence tester, put tester on the ground wire. It should be less than 300 volts. If more than 300 volts, keep adding ground rods until below 300 volts.
In the dry summer months, you can test before and after adding water.
Galvanized rods are supposed to be better because they don't get the corrosion like a copper rod. I use 12 gauge high tensile wire from ground rods to charger.
