I do alot of hay later in the day after work. and sometimes will rake the previous evening and then bale the next day. As long as its good drying weather I never have a problem.
As far as double rotary rakes miller makes them too. I run a single miller pro 1150 and have no issues pulling two windrows together. Rotary rakes work excellent for cleaning up sharp corners in fields in my opinion.
