Never having run a tedder all I can say is that the windrows are loose and fluffy by comparison to other rake options.

With the amount of grass in your mix you'll be easily ahead of the game compared to alfalfa when it comes to drying time.

I know nothing about the comment re repairs. I've had mine for six, maybe more years and haven't so much as replaced a tooth. I will allow that a rotary might be higher maintainance on rough fields. I don't have anything like that in hay. I did choose the Krone due to it's reputation as a "tank" amongst rotaries.
