MIDDLE OF IOWA | We sold fats today for $205/head
Have 1400 feeder pigs coming next week at $110/head.
90% are finished in hoop buildings with cornstalk bedding. We grind and mix are own feed. Beanmeal at ADM is 25 miles away that I backhaul after delivering beans. Put the manure back on the fields, haven't bought p and k in years. Seems to work for us.
I'm 53 and we've never not had pigs.
