| We have monoslope cattle building that was built in 2008. We have replaced the roof metal panels once. Now the latest roof panels are rusting out from the inside. We suspect urea fumes are going to the roof, and it starts to rust over time. We should be getting plenty of airflow because the back wall has an opening right below the roof line to promote airflow. The worst area is on the lower part of the slope and the outer high point of the roof. Does anyone have a monoslope building and not have problems with the roof panels rusting from inside out? It is a metal frame building. One of our ideas is to put a new roof on and spray-foam the underside to seal it from the fumes. Another idea is to put tongue and groove plywood on before applying new roof panels. Any ideas would be welcome. Kind of expensive to replace a roof on these large buildings. | |
